Spiritual Vegetarians
Mahatma Gandhi, John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army, and Ellen G. White, the Matriarch of the Seventh Day Sdventists, were all humane vegetarians who detested cruelty agianst animals. Ms. White inspired millions of people to become vegetarians. Cesar Chavez, the Mexican-American Social Justice icon, was a vegetarian who abhorred dogfights, bullfights and cockfights. Chavez was a Catholic.
